How to Pack your Caravan
When you are first looking at buying a caravan, there are lots of things to weigh up. For example, do you need to fit a towbar to your car? Have you checked your cars towing weight? In addition to this you need to make sure that the caravan itself is road worthy. You can buy trailer parts to do repairs, but you may also need the help of a professional for some problems.
Once you have your caravan, you will probably be itching to take it out and use it – but first, you need to know how to pack it for travel. Towing your caravan is basically like taking your home on holiday with you – albeit a smaller version – so you need to make sure it is packed properly in order to reach the other end safely and in one piece!
Make sure that you distribute the weight as evenly as you can – it is better to put heavier things at the front.
Pack the heavy things first to make sure that they are placed correctly near to the front and also lower to the ground so that if they were to move, they aren’t going to fall and break something.
Once you have packed the heavier items, you can then pack lighter things throughout the caravan.
Once you have put everything in, you need to ensure that it is as secure as possible – if things are in cupboards and storage, ensure that they are locked up first.
